Revision 5
WoW Forever Classes and Races: Racials, New Combos and How to ChooseAdded a section on Blizzard’s four Class Deep Dive articles (September 30 and October 7, 2026, U.S. dates): the role, strengths and weaknesses Blizzard gives Hunter, Druid, Priest, Warrior, Mage, Shaman, Rogue and Warlock, each linked to our full change guide for that class. No Paladin deep dive had been published as of October 11, 2026. Also added Clay Stone’s goal from an October 8 Inven Global interview that no spec should feel unplayable or useless, and noted that the deep dives line up with the role table.
Revision 1
WoW Forever Layering Explained: World Instances, World Refreshes and Grouping with FriendsFirst version in English, German and Korean: realmless rulesets and regions, Blizzard’s terms (world instance, layer, world refresh), per-zone layer limits and familiar faces from podcast episode 1, the BlizzCon refresh warning, the September 24 party transfer issue and the October 1 change for party leaders, community questions from our October 10 report, and unannounced details.
Revision 5
WoW Forever Leveling: Is It Faster Than Classic? Dev Data, Level Ranges and Campfire BuffsUpdated the October 8 dungeon experience changes. Blizzard’s beta development notes for October 8, posted that day, confirm both: experience from killing creatures in dungeons rose by approximately 20%, and a bug was fixed that based the group kill experience penalty on the highest-level party member; as in Classic Era, each player’s own level counts again. Added the notes’ caveat that no one in the party gets experience if a member far outlevels the enemy, and that various dungeon quest reward items were lowered from Rare to Uncommon. The October 1 dungeon quest cut stays in effect. Added reaction figures from our October 10 daily report.
Revision 4
WoW Forever Skyborne: Classes, Unlock and Racial TraitsAdded Blizzard's October 7 Skyborne visual update: the HD Skyborne druid forms are being revisited, and SD Skyborne player characters and SD druid forms are in development for early 2027, with no exact date yet. Added Blizzard's October 8 Beta known issues: Skyborne bear and travel form textures are updated, while cat form textures follow in a future build. A new section lists what is still unannounced and shows two official development images. Clarified that Beta access can also come from opting in and being selected, not only from the Epic Pack or the Collection. Recheck dates moved to October 10.
Revision 2
WoW Forever Shaman Changes: Totems, Weapon Imbues and Every Talent UpdateRechecked the Shaman section against the U.S. English deep dive and its German and Korean versions, which went online after October 9; no rule or number changed. German and Korean talent and spell names now follow the localized articles. Long English and German paragraphs were split into shorter sentences.
Revision 1
WoW Forever Rogue Changes: Mutilate, Venom, Hack and Slash and Every Talent UpdateFirst version in English, German and Korean, checked against Blizzard's Rogue and Warlock Class Deep Dive in all three languages with Blizzard's two forum corrections, and the beta development notes of September 24, October 1 and October 8.
Revision 1
WoW Forever Warlock Changes: Banes, Pet Scaling, Wrack, Demonic Pact and Every Talent UpdateFirst version in English, German and Korean, checked against the English, German and Korean versions of Blizzard's Class Deep Dive (Rogue and Warlock) of October 7, the forum thread and the beta development notes of September 24, October 1 and October 8.
Revision 1
WoW Forever Macros: What Blizzard Allows, How to Make One and Starter Macros by ClassFirst version in English, German and Korean, checked against Blizzard's EULA, support articles 16491, 382409, 21759 and 44199, the input broadcasting policy, the class deep dives of September 30 and October 7 and the beta development notes up to October 8.
Revision 1
WoW Forever Cooldown Manager: How to Turn It On, Supported Classes and What It Can't TrackFirst version in English, German and Korean, checked against Blizzard's WoW Forever beta development notes of September 24, October 1 and October 8 and the known issues post updated October 8. We will update it as Blizzard changes what the Cooldown Manager supports.
Revision 3
WoW Forever Gold Buying and GDKP Rules: RMT Penalties and Gifted GoldAdded the regional scope of the GDKP ban: in a 4Gamers Taiwan interview published October 8, Clay Stone said it applies only to North America and Europe, with GDKP still allowed in other regions such as Korea and Taiwan; no Blizzard notice there yet. Noted that Oceania is grouped with North America. Added the 2024 precedents (Anniversary realms notice, Taiwan community-manager post) and made clear that gold buying and RMT rules are unchanged in every region.
Revision 1
WoW Forever Beta Patch Notes: Blizzard's Beta Development Notes, Latest FirstFirst version in English, German and Korean: the main changes of the October 8 beta update, plus short summaries of the October 1 and September 24 builds, checked against Blizzard's Beta Development Notes and Known Issues threads (U.S. and European forums, English only).
Revision 4
WoW Forever Leveling: Is It Faster Than Classic? Dev Data, Level Ranges and Campfire BuffsAdded the October 8 dungeon experience announcements. In a post on Blizzard’s forums, Senior Game Designer Josh “Aggrend” Greenfield says a bug that based dungeon kill experience on the highest-level group member is being fixed, so experience follows your own level relative to the monsters, and confirms a 20% increase to base kills in dungeons, which a developer also mentioned on podcast episode 3. Added his framing: experience will not return to Classic Era levels, optimal dungeon leveling should be very close to optimal questing, and the balance follows two core pillars. The October 1 dungeon quest cut stays in effect. Development notes for October 8 were not yet posted when we checked, so both changes are marked as announced. Added reaction figures from our October 9 daily report and split long paragraphs for easier reading on phones.
Revision 1
WoW Forever Mage Changes: Frostfire Bolt, Arcane Blast, Ice Lance and Every Talent UpdateFirst version in English, German and Korean, checked against the English original of Blizzard's Mage and Shaman Class Deep Dive (the German and Korean pages returned a server error on October 9) and the beta development notes of September 24 and October 1.
Revision 1
WoW Forever Shaman Changes: Totems, Weapon Imbues and Every Talent UpdateFirst version in English, German and Korean, checked against Blizzard's Class Deep Dive (Mage and Shaman) of October 7 (U.S. English; no German or Korean version was available on October 9), the community manager's edits in the forum thread and the beta development notes of September 24 and October 1.
Revision 2
WoW Forever PvP: Darkspear Islands, Honor, Ranks 1–14 and RewardsAdded Blizzard's two October 7 articles: Darkspear Islands rules (levels 30-60, four capture points, central flag, 2,000 points to win), queues, bases and reputations; and PvP progression with Honor, weekly-capped Rank Points, the rank 1–14 reward list, blue and epic gear sets and seasonal journey tasks. The honor-track wording now separates the written article from the developer Q&A, and the unannounced list was updated.
Revision 4
WoW Forever Realms and Rulesets: Normal, PvP, Roleplaying or HardcoreUpdated the layering section with Blizzard's October 1 Beta development notes: world instances were adjusted and party leaders should no longer be transferred when creating or updating a party (the notes name party leaders only). Separated the sources of the terms ("world refresh" from the BlizzCon 2026 Hardcore panel, "world instance" from the forum posts), added a short answer for playing with friends and guilds, updated community figures to our October 7 report, added still-unannounced items and split long paragraphs into single sentences.
Revision 1
WoW Forever Buff Durations: Fortitude, Arcane Intellect, Mark of the Wild, Blessings and Battle Shout vs ClassicFirst version in English, German and Korean. Buff durations from Wowhead's WoW Forever beta tooltips compared with Classic tooltips of the same spell IDs, checked against Blizzard's class deep dives, Deep Dive recap, Legacy System article and the September 24 and October 1 beta notes.
Revision 3
WoW Forever Spell Power Scaling and Wand ChangesCorrected Retribution Aura: Blizzard’s September 24 notes describe the intended scaling with the Paladin’s spell power, but its October 1 known-issues list says the aura uses the target’s spell power instead. The statement about spell coefficients is limited to the sources checked on September 26. The title, description and opening were clarified, and a link to the Druid guide was added.
Revision 7
WoW Forever Addons: Questie Status and What to Check Before You InstallQuestie rechecked: 12.0.2 (2026-09-28) fixed the tracker crashing on missing QuestWatch APIs, and 12.0.3 (2026-09-30) is now the latest stable release with Forever support; the Questie section, summary and checklist point to it, and the 12.0.0 pre-release and 12.0.1 history stays. Cooldown Manager updated for Blizzard’s 2026-10-01 beta notes: Rogue and racial abilities are supported, and duplicate entries for each spell rank should no longer appear on already supported classes; Blizzard’s known issues still say the implementation varies by class. The settings section was rechecked against the 2026-10-01 known issues and notes (still no SavedVariables entry), and the new known issue that switching the gamepad UI resets the Edit Mode layout was added.
Revision 3
WoW Forever Addons: 5 Useful Picks, Where to Download Them and How to Use ThemRechecked all five addons on their official download pages on October 6: the Questie v12.0.3+v1.0.4 bundle (Questie 12.0.3 with QuestieDB 1.0.4, September 30), Leatrix Plus and Leatrix Maps 1.60.12-forever (October 5; the separate -forever file is still needed), Auctionator 340 (October 2) and Bagnon 12.1.6 (October 4), with what each update changed on Forever. Bartender4 (since September 28) and Details! (since September 29) now have stable Forever files; WeakAuras still has none. The boss-warning advice now points to Deadly Boss Mods with its DBM-Vanilla (raids) and DBM-Dungeons (dungeons) modules: BigWigs lists Forever, but its classic raid modules and its LittleWigs dungeon plugin have no Forever file yet. Auctionator’s ruleset labels are explained. The settings-loss caveat stays: Blizzard has not confirmed a fix and Questie’s work list still lists the issue as a known beta-client limitation.
Revision 1
WoW Forever Invite-A-Friend: Launch Codes, Eligibility and Redemption DatesFirst version in English, German and Korean, checked against Blizzard's pre-purchase news (U.S., German and Korean pages), the U.S., European and Korean Battle.net shop pages and Blizzard Support articles 385883 and 11263.
Revision 4
WoW Forever Dungeons and Raids: Levels, Beta Dungeons, Raid DatesUpdated to the October 1 beta development notes: Excavation Site: Wetlands is now levels 26–31 (was 24–29), the beta level cap is 30, and the beta dungeon list now includes Razorfen Downs (25+) and Uldaman (30+), 14 dungeons in total. Added the 50% cut to extra dungeon quest experience. The other eight dungeon ranges were rechecked on October 5 and are unchanged. Statements based only on the developer Q&A video (single difficulty, raid tier plans, Q&A boss estimates) were removed because they could not be rechecked against a written official source.
Revision 1
WoW Forever PvP: Darkspear Islands, Honor, Ranks 1–14 and RewardsFirst version in English, German and Korean, checked against Blizzard's What's Next recap, ruleset and Legacy System articles (U.S., German and Korean pages), the beta announcement, the official developer Q&A and the October 1 beta development notes.

Revision 4
WoW Forever Classes and Races: Racials, New Combos and How to ChooseAdded a section on the damage balance Blizzard’s designers described in WoW: Forever Podcast episode 2 (October 1, 2026): every class except Hunter, Mage, Rogue and Warlock counts as a hybrid, Warriors included; hybrid damage specs are targeted at about 5% less damage; the old hybrid tax is rejected in favour of competitive output with fewer tools; Rogues are meant to lead PvE single-target damage; each class has a damage budget, so buffs are offset elsewhere. These are stated targets, not measured results.
Revision 2
WoW Forever Druid Changes: Shapeshifting, Lacerate and Every Talent UpdateUpdated to the beta build of October 1: Shifting Power and Improved Shifting Power are now in the beta with their Mana cost and cooldown, and we added Disarm immunity in all forms, more Rage from Bear and Dire Bear critical strikes, the Swipe attack power fix, the Faerie Fire swing timer change, Primal Bite's roughly doubled threat and the removal of King of the Jungle. German and Korean talent names now follow Blizzard's translated deep dive.
Revision 2
WoW Forever UI Without Addons: Edit Mode, Damage Meter and Cooldown Manager SetupUpdated the Cooldown Manager to Blizzard's beta notes and known issues of October 1: Rogue and racial abilities are now supported and, according to Blizzard, duplicate entries for each spell rank should no longer appear, while pet cooldowns, item enhancements such as rogue poisons, Arcane Blast, the Healthstone cooldown and Priest tracking every spell remain listed. Added the new Edit Mode reset when switching the gamepad UI and the Faerie Fire and Demoralizing Shout threat bug. Rechecked addon releases: Bartender4 has listed Forever since 4.18.0 on September 28, and the Details! release of September 29 lists Forever on CurseForge. English and German paragraphs are now one short sentence each.
Revision 2
WoW Forever Controller Support: Gamepad (Alpha) Settings, Beta Fixes and Steam DeckAdded the October 1 beta build’s Gamepad Support changes: gamepad UI bindings are now static and gamepad rebinding only affects the keyboard-and-mouse interface, the pet stable and the compact Raid and Party manager frames support gamepad, and macros on a gamepad action bar can be moved again. Added the October 1 known issue that switching to or from Gamepad UI mode resets the active Edit Mode layout to the default preset, replaced the outdated known-issues date, and rechecked the Shop requirements.
Revision 2
WoW Forever Gold Buying and GDKP Rules: RMT Penalties and Gifted GoldAdded Blizzard’s October 1 post: continued beta action against gold-botting accounts and against buyers and knowing recipients of illicit gold, action after launch, a coming in-game warning on trades with strangers that points to Support article 379634, and the named penalties (gold removal, suspension, permanent closure). Added that Support article’s advice and rechecked the GDKP advertising rules on October 4.
Revision 6
WoW Forever Beta Access Guide: Sign-Up, Invite Check, and InstallationAdded what the October 1 beta build opened, from Blizzard’s development notes: level cap 30, the new dungeon Excavation Site: Wetlands (levels 26–31), Razorfen Downs (25+) and Uldaman (30+), and barbershops in Darnassus and Thunder Bluff. Added Blizzard’s plan to grant every tester 16 Legacy points in a later beta week (week not announced). The week-one level graph became a table of the new build.
Revision 3
WoW Forever Legacy System: Points, 16-Point Cap and PerksAdded Blizzard's October 1 forum post: Blizzard plans to grant every beta tester 16 Legacy Points in a future beta week and, once applied, expects to keep the grant until the beta ends. It sits in its own beta-only section next to the launch rules, which are unchanged. The unlock section no longer says it is unknown whether the system is on the beta.
Revision 3
WoW Forever Leveling: Is It Faster Than Classic? Dev Data, Level Ranges and Campfire BuffsAdded the October 1 beta development notes: dungeon quests now give 50% less of the extra experience above normal quest values (Blizzard cites feedback on leveling speed) and certain quest rewards were recalibrated; the beta level cap is now 30; respawn rates rose in Hillsbrad Foothills, Ashenvale, Wetlands, Duskwood and Thousand Needles. Excavation Site: Wetlands is now listed at 26–31. Added reaction figures from our October 3 daily report. The 20.4 and 20.5 hour averages stay as reported on September 24.
Revision 5

Also noted the level 30 beta cap, two known pet display issues, that the Auto Shot fix is still not in the notes, and that German and Korean versions of the deep dive are now online.
Revision 5
WoW Forever Beta Access Guide: Sign-Up, Invite Check, and InstallationUpdated the level cap: Blizzard’s October 1 beta maintenance notice says the updated build includes changes and fixes and raises the cap from 20 to 30. The development notes for that build were not posted yet when checked (October 1, 20:00 UTC), so no new content above level 20 is listed. The English text no longer gives an unconfirmed reason for the different end dates on regional pages.
