The short answer: most stat buffs last 1 hour, Battle Shout 3 minutes
Blizzard has not published a duration table for WoW Forever's class buffs.
That goes for party and raid buffs alike.
Official texts give only scattered values.
Examples are one-hour campfire buffs and a 5-minute Disease Cleansing Totem.
The durations on this page come from Wowhead's WoW Forever beta tooltips.
On October 6, 2026, we compared each one with the Classic tooltip of the same spell.
Wowhead is a fan database that reads the beta game data.
Beta values can still change before launch.
In that data, four stat buffs last 1 hour instead of 30 minutes.
They are Power Word: Fortitude, Divine Spirit, Arcane Intellect and Mark of the Wild.
The five Paladin Blessings we checked last 1 hour instead of 5 minutes.
They are Might, Wisdom, Kings, Salvation and Light.
Their Greater versions last 1 hour instead of 15 minutes.
Battle Shout lasts 3 minutes instead of 2, and most Shaman totems last 5 minutes.
Not every buff got longer.
Shadow Protection and Thorns still last 10 minutes.
Trueshot Aura still lasts 30 minutes.
Fear Ward even drops from 10 minutes to 3.
A common claim says every party buff now lasts 30 minutes or 1 hour.
That is close, but not exact.
What Blizzard has actually said about buffs
Blizzard's articles explain which class buff talents became baseline.
They give no durations for those buffs.
The Deep Dive panel recap of September 13 covers talents that granted key class buffs.
It says those talents are now baseline.
Its examples are Divine Spirit, Blessing of Kings and Improved Mark of the Wild.
The Hunter and Druid class deep dive of September 30 repeats this.
It names Blessing of Kings and Improved Mark of the Wild.
It also makes Improved Thorns baseline.
The Priest and Warrior deep dive of the same day adds two baseline abilities.
They are Improved Power Word: Fortitude and Divine Spirit.
Divine Spirit is learned at level 30.
For Warriors, it says Booming Voice no longer changes Shout durations.
That bonus is now baseline.
Improved Battle Shout is built into Battle Shout as well.
The Legacy System article of September 23 adds a perk called Permanence.
It increases the duration of party, raid and camping buffs.
| What Blizzard said | Where |
|---|---|
| Divine Spirit, Blessing of Kings and Improved Mark of the Wild are baseline | Deep Dive panel recap, September 13 |
| Improved Thorns is baseline | Hunter and Druid deep dive, September 30 |
| Improved Power Word: Fortitude is baseline; Divine Spirit at level 30 | Priest and Warrior deep dive, September 30 |
| Booming Voice's Shout duration bonus is baseline | Priest and Warrior deep dive, September 30 |
| Permanence: longer party, raid and camping buffs | Legacy System article, September 23 |
Blizzard's U.S. English articles. None of them gives durations for the buffs in the tables below.
Official durations appear only for a few effects.
The panel recap says campfire buffs last one hour.
The October 1 beta notes fixed Disease Cleansing Totem so it lasts 5 minutes.
The September 24 notes made two Mage proc buffs last longer.
Wake of Fire now lasts 30 seconds (was 20) and Hot Streak 20 seconds (was 15).
On October 1, Blizzard renamed Hot Streak to Heating Up.
For most spells in the tables below, Blizzard gives no duration.
So we use the beta tooltips.
Duration table: Fortitude, Intellect, Mark of the Wild and Blessings
This table shows the highest rank of each buff in Wowhead's Forever beta data.
We compare it with the Classic tooltip of the same spell.
We also checked rank 1 of Power Word: Fortitude, Divine Spirit and Arcane Intellect.
The same goes for Mark of the Wild and two Blessings.
Their durations matched the highest rank.
Four stat buffs go from 30 minutes to 1 hour.
They are Power Word: Fortitude, Divine Spirit, Arcane Intellect and Mark of the Wild.
The five Blessings go from 5 minutes to 1 hour.
They are Might, Wisdom, Kings, Salvation and Light.
The matching Greater Blessings go from 15 minutes to 1 hour.
The group versions already lasted 1 hour in Classic and still do.
They are Prayer of Fortitude, Prayer of Spirit, Arcane Brilliance and Gift of the Wild.
In practice, single-target and group versions now last equally long.
So you no longer need the group spell just for its duration (our reading).
| Buff (class) | Classic | Forever beta |
|---|---|---|
| Power Word: Fortitude (Priest) | 30 min | 1 hour |
| Divine Spirit (Priest) | 30 min | 1 hour |
| Arcane Intellect (Mage) | 30 min | 1 hour |
| Mark of the Wild (Druid) | 30 min | 1 hour |
| 5 min | 1 hour |
| Greater Blessingssame five, Paladin | 15 min | 1 hour |
| Prayer of Fortitude, Prayer of Spirit (Priest) | 1 hour | 1 hour |
| Arcane Brilliance (Mage) | 1 hour | 1 hour |
| Gift of the Wild (Druid) | 1 hour | 1 hour |
Highest rank. Wowhead WoW Forever beta tooltips compared with Wowhead Classic tooltips of the same spell ID. Beta values may change.
The amounts changed too.
The highest Power Word: Fortitude rank gives 70 Stamina instead of 54.
The highest Mark of the Wild rank gives 385 armor instead of 285.
Those increases match the old maximum bonus of two talents (our calculation).
Blizzard made both talents baseline.
Improved Power Word: Fortitude gave up to 30%, and Improved Mark of the Wild up to 35%.
At the highest rank, two buffs keep their Classic amounts.
Arcane Intellect gives 31 Intellect, and Divine Spirit gives 40 Spirit.
Group buffs now name the whole raid (tooltip wording)
The tooltip text of several group buffs changed as well.
In Classic, four group buffs affect the target's party.
Three are Prayer of Fortitude, Prayer of Spirit and Prayer of Shadow Protection.
The fourth is Gift of the Wild.
In the Forever beta data, the same spells say they affect all party and raid members.
Arcane Brilliance changes from the target's party to the target's party and raid.
Greater Blessings already reached every raid or group member of the target's class.
That wording did not change.
| Group buff | Classic tooltip | Forever beta tooltip |
|---|---|---|
| Prayer of Fortitude, Prayer of Spirit, Prayer of Shadow Protection | Target's party | All party and raid members |
| Gift of the Wild | Target's party | All party and raid members |
| Arcane Brilliance | Target's party | Target's party and raid |
| Greater Blessings | Raid or group members of the target's class | Unchanged |
We found no Blizzard article or beta note announcing raid-wide group buffs.
So treat this as beta tooltip data.
The reagents in the tooltips are unchanged.
The Prayers use Sacred Candle, and Arcane Brilliance uses Arcane Powder.
Gift of the Wild uses Wild Thornroot, and Greater Blessings use Symbol of Kings.
Battle Shout: why it is still short
Battle Shout is the clearest exception to the one-hour pattern.
In the beta data it lasts 3 minutes instead of 2 minutes and still costs 10 Rage.
It still reaches party members within 20 yards.
Blizzard's Priest and Warrior deep dive explains the extra minute.
Booming Voice no longer changes Shout durations because that bonus is now baseline.
In Classic, a fully talented Booming Voice made Battle Shout last 50% longer.
2 minutes plus 50% is exactly 3 minutes (our calculation).
The October 1 beta notes changed Booming Voice again.
It now increases the area of your Shouts by 10 to 50%.
It also lowers their Rage cost by 5 to 25%.
The attack power bonus is lower on purpose.
Blizzard's reason for the cut: both factions now have Shaman and Paladin buffs.
The Improved Battle Shout bonus is built in.
In the beta data, the highest rank gives 140 attack power.
The Classic tooltip shows 232.
| Battle Shout | Classic | Forever beta |
|---|---|---|
| Duration | 2 min | 3 min |
| Attack powerhighest rank | 232 | 140Improved Battle Shout built in |
| Rage cost | 10 | 10 |
| Range | Party within 20 yards | Party within 20 yards |
| Booming Voice talent | Longer duration and larger area | Larger area, lower Rage costOctober 1 notes: 10–50% area, 5–25% Rage |
Duration, attack power, cost and range from Wowhead tooltips; Booming Voice from Blizzard's deep dive and October 1 beta notes.
Blizzard has not explained why the duration stays at 3 minutes.
A Blizzard forum thread called “Buff durations” went up on September 26.
It had no Blizzard reply when we checked on October 6.
On r/classicwow, a thread asked why Battle Shout is still so short.
In our October 6 collection, it had 730 upvotes and 526 comments.
Shaman totems and weapon imbues
Shaman buffs also last longer in the beta data.
Five totems last 5 minutes instead of 2 minutes.
They are Strength of Earth, Grace of Air, Windfury, Stoneskin and Windwall Totem.
Mana Spring Totem lasts 5 minutes instead of 1 minute.
The totem range in these tooltips is 30 yards instead of 20 yards.
| Shaman effect | Classic | Forever beta |
|---|---|---|
| 2 min | 5 min |
| Mana Spring Totem | 1 min | 5 min |
| Totem range | 20 yards | 30 yards |
| 5 min | 60 min |
Highest rank, Wowhead WoW Forever beta tooltips compared with Wowhead Classic tooltips. Beta values may change.
Blizzard's October 1 beta notes fixed Disease Cleansing Totem so it lasts 5 minutes.
That fits the same pattern.
Flametongue Totem is the exception.
The September 24 notes say it no longer has a duration.
It is replaced as soon as you place another totem.
Its current tooltip still shows 5 minutes, though.
Per the same notes, it no longer stacks with Flametongue Weapon or Windfury Totem.
Tranquil Air, Windfury and Grace of Air Totem also no longer stack with each other.
That holds even when different Shamans in the same group place them.
Weapon imbues last 60 minutes instead of 5 minutes.
This covers Rockbiter, Flametongue, Frostbrand and Windfury Weapon.
Imbues only affect the Shaman's own weapon, so they are not party buffs.
Blizzard has not published a Shaman class deep dive yet.
The totem and imbue durations in this table have no official source.
Only Disease Cleansing Totem, which is not in the table, has one.
Buffs that stayed short, and one that got shorter
Several buffs kept their Classic durations in the beta data.
Shadow Protection still lasts 10 minutes.
Prayer of Shadow Protection still lasts 20 minutes.
Thorns still lasts 10 minutes.
Blizzard did make its damage scale with the caster's spell power.
Amplify Magic and Dampen Magic still last 10 minutes.
Unending Breath and Detect Invisibility still last 10 minutes.
Water Walking and Water Breathing do too.
Trueshot Aura, a party buff for ranged attack power, still lasts 30 minutes.
Blizzard calls it otherwise unchanged apart from its new talent row and lower ranks.
A Soulstone still lasts 30 minutes on its target.
| Buff (class) | Classic | Forever beta |
|---|---|---|
| Shadow Protection (Priest) | 10 min | 10 min |
| Prayer of Shadow Protection (Priest) | 20 min | 20 min |
| Thorns (Druid) | 10 min | 10 min |
| Amplify Magic, Dampen Magic (Mage) | 10 min | 10 min |
| Unending Breath, Detect Invisibility (Warlock) | 10 min | 10 min |
| Water Walking, Water Breathing (Shaman) | 10 min | 10 min |
| Trueshot Aura (Hunter) | 30 min | 30 min |
| Soulstone Resurrection (Warlock) | 30 min | 30 min |
| Fear Ward (Priest)cooldown 30 sec → 3 min | 10 min | 3 min |
Highest rank, Wowhead WoW Forever beta tooltips compared with Wowhead Classic tooltips. Beta values may change.
Fear Ward goes the other way: it lasts 3 minutes instead of 10 minutes.
Its cooldown rises from 30 seconds to 3 minutes.
Blizzard's deep dive only says Fear Ward is now available to every Priest at level 20.
The duration change comes from the tooltip.
Rogue poisons such as Instant Poison VI still last 30 minutes on the weapon.
We also looked for Blessing of Sanctuary and Greater Blessing of Sanctuary.
Neither appears in Wowhead's Forever data under its Classic spell ID.
So they are not in these tables.
Legacy perks, campfires and stacking rules
The Legacy System adds perks that change buffing for one character.
Permanence increases the duration of party, raid and camping buffs.
Blizzard has not said by how much.
The Quick and the Dead makes party and raid buffs free after you resurrect.
That speeds up recovery after a wipe.
Reagent Economy removes vendor-bought reagents from class abilities.
Blizzard's panel recap says this makes buffing easier.

Gourmand increases the duration of food buffs.
All four perks sit in the Resourcefulness tree of the Legacy System.
| Legacy perk | Effect on buffs |
|---|---|
| Permanence | Longer party, raid and camping buffs |
| The Quick and the Dead | Free party and raid buffs after you resurrect |
| Reagent Economy | No vendor-bought reagents for class abilities |
| Gourmand | Longer food buffs |
Names and effects from Blizzard's Legacy System article. Blizzard has not published the size of each bonus.
Campfires add their own one-hour buffs when you sit by them for a moment.
Profession camp objects are variants of class buffs.
Examples are the Sharpening Wheel, Faction Banner and Incense Candle.
They do not stack with those class buffs.

The September 24 beta update changed waiting at a campfire.
Players can now buff each other, cast and craft while they wait for the campfire buff.
Hunter pets can no longer receive player buffs that increase their stats.
Moonkin Form and Leader of the Pack now give the same party critical strike bonus.
The two are exclusive with each other.
Classes without a deep dive, and what is not confirmed
As of October 6, 2026, Blizzard has published deep dives for only four classes.
They are Hunter, Druid, Priest and Warrior.
Mage, Paladin, Rogue, Shaman and Warlock have no deep dive yet.
Their buff durations rest on tooltip data alone.
Paladin Blessings and Shaman totems changed most in the beta data.
Blizzard has not explained those changes.
We will revise this page when those deep dives come out.
The same goes for beta notes that change buffs.
Until then, plan around one-hour stat buffs and the Blessings listed above.
Check the in-game tooltip before a raid.
